We are over halfway through 2022 and still experiencing an extremely busy market! In the past few weeks, our team has agreed many sales and lettings, again there were a lot of contracts agreed on the first day of doing viewings.

Although traditionally Spring and Autumn used to be the busiest months in real estate, we are not really seeing that divide anymore as we are still experiencing a shortage of available properties. This is good news for anyone who is thinking about selling, as we still have a lot of qualified buyers who are ready to move. There is a high demand for 5000sqft properties with pools and annexes in Hale, Wilmslow and Alderley Edge as we have many buyers looking for this at the moment. In addition we have many buyers and tenants looking for penthouses in Manchester. If you own or know someone who has a similar property, please let us know.

In addition to the sales market, the rental market is also seeing a shortage of available properties and we are seeing a high demand for rental properties. This is because tenants tend to renew their contracts a lot more, and as a result they are staying a lot longer than before which means not as many properties as before are becoming regularly available. The Cheshire area is highly sought after due to the excellent transport links and motorway connections and many people want to find a rental property to relocate to the area before buying. We have many applicants who are actively looking for a property, especially now in the summer as families would like to settle in before their children start school in September. 

Therefore, if you are interested in investing into properties, now might be a good time as rental properties tend to give a long and stable income which provides some form of financial security to landlords.
