After nearly 12 months of lockdowns in the UK, organiser Yvette Royle (BBC’s All Together Now) felt our community deserved a fantastic night of entertainment to let their hair down and feel some sense of normality in what has been a strange year for us all. Artists and the music industry have been hit hard by the regulations, and therefore she decided to organise Wilmslow Music Festival, an outdoor event with a chance to sing, dance, laugh and enjoy being together with the local community.
We can expect a true music festival atmosphere with live artists, tribute acts and music genres to suit everyone. According to the organiser, the artists, lighting, sound and stage are going to look phenomenal! Hits radio DJ Darren Proctor will host the evening to make sure it will be a fun filled evening.
The festival is for adults only and takes place at Wilmslow Rugby Club in Wilmslow. Besides fantastic acts there will be food available and of course bars all around the pitch. Although some food stalls still need to be confirmed, there is talk of a huge paella and pizza stand and possible alcohol infused ice cream, and more to be added!
Although official COVID restrictions and guidelines are not available for summer yet and the aim is no more regulations after the 21st of June, the festival takes place outdoors and the huge pitch provides plenty of space for social distancing.

Wilmslow Music Festival takes place on Saturday the 3rd of July from 17.00-23.30. The event is 18+ and will take place at Wilmslow Rugby Club Memorial ground, Kings Road, SK9 5PZ
